UX Designer based in Austin, TX with Midwestern roots.

I am a UX Designer whose educational background encompasses a wide variety of different subjects, including business management, graphic design, web development, and UX/UI design.  Having grown up with an older brother who is disabled with cerebral palsy, I have often had to assist my brother while our parents were busy with their work schedules.  I bring an innate sense of helping others and wanting to do what is right.  I can help a business convey its message by utilizing the different skills I have developed over the years through writing, business planning, and design.

Originally from the state of Iowa, where I grew up in a small town alongside the Mississippi River, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Tippie College of Business of the University of Iowa in 2014.  Since then, I have also completed training in Graphic Design at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA, from the years 2016 to 2018, where I became skilled in the different Adobe programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, and was able to apply these skills in the different graphic design principles I learned there. I completed a coding bootcamp that taught full-stack web development from Austin Community College in the year 2021, and I am now in the process of completing a UX/UI Design bootcamp offered through Springboard.  I hope for the opportunity to apply these new skills in the workforce.

In addition to my education, I have also offered my skills through volunteering on the Catchafire website, where I have helped nonprofit organizations save over $13,822 in project costs by providing free writing and design services.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the movies, watching new shows on Netflix, watching sports such as college football and the NFL, and trying out new restaurants in Austin, TX.
